@Libby, I decided to do a hardcore upgrade on my Dell for now. As business builds up for 2010 god willing, ll my workstations will hopefully be Mac.
I really rely on my Dell LT, its taken a beating and hasn’t failed on me so far…thank god
Very creative strobist info Dubz!
I know I saw this effect once before but I never tried it. I guess imma have to now that you reminded me about it
Great Job!
Sup Dubs,
I’m not much of a DIY guy myself, but when push comes to shove I try getting something done with the spare goodies I have at home.
I’m impressed with the results, the shots are nice and clear and well lit. Keep up the good work!
It’s funny how a person see’s the mistakes the President does and then raves and rants all day about 1 little thing he said without any offense!
People have to realize that he is also a human and is responding as a regular person would in a normal day. Obama is not trying to reflect to us as a high Presidential figure…though he is but he is doing his best at communicating with us all as a normal person would because he to knows what it is to be a struggling American… especially in our economy today.
As far as apologizing to you and your families, I can’t under where your going to with this. He has been in office for almost 3 months now and has already started working on matters that needed to be correct left behind by the others. if you think things will happen over night the you need a reality check. He’s got 4 years in office I’d suggest we give him some credit for what he’s done so far, also give him credit for being a tough responsible person for taking the reigns and focusing in improving our United States.
I also think that Sarah Palin is in the same boat as McCain…“THE BITTER BOAT”!
They are now trying to figure out ways to make our President look bad. Any way they can embarrass him is good enough for them. This is how the politicians do it when they don’t get what they want.
Now Palin will take this to a whole new level cause she’s related to someone with Down Syndrome… When was this an issue????
People he said something just like you and I would say it on the daily basis!!!
Why in the world would you hold him to that?
Why aren’t people criticizing the comedians and actors that do this for a living?
Why did we let Bush in office for a second term with his mental disabilities?
Why did we let him destroy our country and just walk away as if it were okay?
I advise you to ponder on what the others did wrong and left it just lying there for us to figure out how we were gonna make things better!
Great tip Dubz!
I too find myself not updating my cameras firmware until I see a critical post anywhere online!
Thanks for the reminder. *jay now goes to look into his canons firmware*

What I would use for this kind of shot is my Canon 580EXii with a medium snoot (at a remote distance).
Canon XTi ISO 100 F16 1/200.
