Liberty and Justice…
February 3, 2010 – 11:27 pm | by J. RodriguezI was on my way to a shoot early this morning and I decided to have my camera out with my 70-200mm lens on while I commute to the location. I wasn’t very far of a distance but I had a couple of hours free and I wanted to capture the day within a couple of frames while I was at it. I did a GOYA as many of the other photog’s call it… “Get Off Your Ass” to be exact!
While on my commute I captured many interesting images. When I uploaded them onto my laptop I became really emotional towards this very image. Instantly a title for this image came to mind… “Liberty and Justice…”!
This is an image that really explains the hard times we’re all going through right now. Beginning with Our Lady Liberty! Many of us are holding onto jobs for dear life, and many others are struggling and pinching every penny they make to get food on the table and the bills paid. We all have a responsibility, a goal and a dream to be successful in life. We tough it out and at the end we all have to start all over again the next day.
I’m posting this image not to make you feel sad, but to inspire you and to remind you that you are not alone in these hard situations. Keep pushing forward, Keep your head up!
I also want to give thanks to all the participants of the “JRPContest2010” – beautiful submissions on the flickr page, its so hard to decide on just one. We will have a winner announced on Sunday after the SuperBowl, in the meantime… keep strong, get off your ass and keep doing your thing!
LataZzz!
