Tips on Adsense and other Advertising Programs Pt.3

July 14, 2006 – 8:43 pm | by J. Rodriguez

adsensePeople often ask or email me asking for tips on Adsense know-hows, and I respond giving them the best advice I have aquired. I am not the type that’ll go out and buy a book on Adsense or Search Engine Optimization simply because I feel that this is something you should know on your own. If you build a website, you maintain a website and you continuously modify things here and there to make things look better to your website, then the best person who would know their web site is of course…who better than you.I search the engines alot and find many articles on Adsense Tips & tricks, “greater ways to cash in” sorta speak. Most of the time, when I am searching on this paticular topic you can find me over at Pro Blogger. Over at Pro Blogger - Darren Rowse not only gives you great tips on how to properly promote your Adsense and other contexual advertisements, he also encourages you to keep on trying and never give-up…because sooner or later you’ll get the hang of it, then you can pass the tips along to the novice who is now at that very moment trying to figure out this PPC thing we all are devoted to.

They’re are many more out there giving tips, continuously promoting hundreds and thousands of ways n how to make “$40 Thousand Dollars” in one month like they did with their one website. I find this all “bullshit”, don’t get me wrong, 30% of the content is great information but making that much money with one website in a month…I find that hard to believe especially just one website! Maybe if your promoting 5, 6 maybe 10 website or blogs you can see a great amount of cash, but not $40 Thousand Dollars.

Now don’t go thinking that I am downing these so called entrepreneurs, it’s just the way I look at things. Yeah you can make a living on advertising, search engine optimizing, graphic designs and anything else that requires a website, but do not go dreaming that you can do it on one thing alone such as PPC. At my old place of employment my employer used a cliche “Hustle Makes It Happen”, and ever since then I’ve always had that little saying on my mind. It takes alot to make alot is my version, and also everyone elses.

Remember, if your getting involved with contexual advertising or any other advertising, make sure that you have the traffic, make sure that you have the content and last but not least “Make sure you follow the rules” , otherwise you’ll find yourself getting nowhere with nothing. Everyone is welcomed, with open arms to the world of online advertising - just as long as you promote yourself correctly and follow the rules.

Enough of me with the rambling, this should put you in the right track I hope.
Good luck to all, and do not be afraid to ask someone that has more knowledge in this field for help and tips.

And to the authors of these million dollar adsense books, I meant no disrespect towards you all. I am just encouraging these people out there that want a piece of that pie you enjoy so much :)

    Hi Monica,

Great question you have there. I will answer it to the best of my knowledge,
and hope that it’ll help you in the future.

For now, when you start your site you will see “some” progress depending on your way of promoting your site. If your starting a blog (and I am assuming that you are) join in on some networks, get your feeds going places like feedburner & blogexplosions are great places to start. This should start bringing you traffic and people who are interested in what you provide. Also, submit your url to the search engines, this’ll help spreading the word for you why your adding content.

These link should give you an idea on what to do, then you’ll get familiar with the process.
I encourage you to keep on reading up on these topics, read other blogs that involve marketing, google-ing, yahoo-ing and more.

If you check out the website I recommend you’ll get other website with the same interest (chain of links).
I hope this lil’ tip helped. I will be writing more as idea’s come along. Stay posted and if you have anymore questions please do not hesitate to ask :)

One day, maybe those of us who look forward to Adsense revenue will see the day when the Adsense ads are 100% integrated into the copy and not called out.

    We’re getting there.
