I am a Blogger….Part 1
July 22, 2006 – 11:52 am | by J. RodriguezAs you all can see, I am a Blogger…and so are many of you out there, you just don’t know it yet. In the last couple of years I have been producing blog after blog after blog, quitting and returning. I regret deleting my last blog, although I kinda had to according to agreements, but then again I decided to re-opened Photoshopped and want to do things the right way this time. Nothing serious , just these software companies accusing me of regular ole’ BS (you know what I mean!).
Their are Millions of Blogs out there on the internet today, and I am proud to be one of the Millions that participate to help and inspire others in any way I can.
Below are some question that I have answered in several places!
Why do you blog?
To help others, to spread the word, and to make information for graphic design, web design and all types of advertising easy to find.
Do you help alot of people? and How?
When I am available online, free to answer questions I usually look for the ones that seek help. Most of the time they catch me on Instant Messenger or they simply just email me.
For a long time now I have been visiting forums (aswell as my own – Grafix Lounge) and been answering all type of questions that I am familiar with.
Asides from Blogging, what else do you do?
Well, before there was “Blogging” – I was finding many different ways to not only help people, but to promote myself. Spread the word…you know what I mean.
I use to focuse only on Graphics and some Web Design. Then slowly but surely I got deep into all different types of advertising. I started testing things on my own, then involving people I know… asking their opinion and how can things be improved.
As an online advertiser, with all the effort people put in their ads (placement, color scheme, keywords and all) do you see much in return? Do you make a good living out of online advertising?
I’m glad that you ask me that, because on a recent post I put up on B4P I mentioned to everyone that there is a right way and a wrong way to make a living out of this (Online advertising). I also advised them that in the begining their will be a challenge, and to not expect Hundreds and Thousands of visitors in just a matter of days from launching their website. This isn’t directed only to blogging, it’s directed to all types of websites. “Content is Key” and if you don’t have continuous fresh/new content you will not succeed!
As for me making a living out of this, I can’t see myself doing just this. I am dedicated to my art and my online know-hows. I love seeing my work on Brochures and Magazines, I guess this is why I still have my 9 to 5. I enjoy helping a company succeed, getting them online, and focusing on different ways to make it happen. The people I deal with daily depend on me, they rely on my “consulting” sorta speak.
See you next time on Part 2 of this interview!
