Google updates Blogger.com - Still in beta

August 14, 2006 – 11:45 pm | by J. Rodriguez

Today Google has released their new version of Blogger, which is still in beta! Google has done a massive change to blogger. Finally!, everones request is being fulfilled!

  • Google has added the ability to categorize your posts with labels.

When you’re writing a post, you’ll have a space at the bottom of the form marked “Labels for this post.” Enter whatever labels you like, separating them with commas. You can also click the “show all” link to display a list of labels you’ve used previously. Then just click on the labels to add them.

  • Control who reads your posts/blog by a click of a mouse.

Click the “Add Readers” button and then enter the email address of a person to whom you want to grant access to your blog.

  • Edit you Layout, fonts and section at a click of a mouse

Yup, you heard that right! With just a click of a mouse you can move things around such as RSS Feeds, Adsense, Labels and more.

Looks to me that Google is trying to catch up to the almighty Wordpress and their way of publishing blog posts. Anyway’s, the beta is only available for new registrants for now. All the old-school blogger will have to wait until its all tweaked up and ready to go. Maybe the wait is best for the veteran bloggers , this way the Blogger/Google Team can really listen to the idea’s the  bloggers are submitting and implement them before they all leave to WP.

If your a blogger (blogger.com), I’d suggest you write to them now with the idea’s you have, that way they can all work  on trying to make things better for you all.
