Gaming is becoming a consumer nightmare.

Recently I was looking at the new Madden 07 for Xbox 360. Well I was quickly informed that I would probably not want to mess with it… and here is the reason why.
EA’s new Privacy Policy anonymously creates an online account to track you, but oh it gets better… with your “anonymous” account you also give up your ip address which can simply be linked to a database of information, that would have search history, purchases and even credit card information. In a nutshell it basically comes down to how important is the game and is it worth your privacy?
I strongly suggest you take the time to write the FTC or at the very least boycott EA until they fix this bull. You can read the complete Slashdot story here.

I figured that some way, some how these game producers would start doing this crap. It’s why I stopped playing games online.
last Game I played online was Diablo 2. Ever since then I don’t play anymore Online Games.
It’s a damn shame, no-ones got any privacy anymore
