Apple has slashed the development team for Aperture, its professional image software for RAW-format work flow, the insider news Web site Think Secret has reported.
The team’s engineers have been absorbed by other departments or completely let go, according to the Web site.
The move is not entirely a surprise, as the software has seen a host of problems. Software glitches, such as an initial incompatibility with Intel-based Macs, have plagued Aperture since its release.
Aperture was also challenged by Adobe’s release of comparable RAW-image work-flow software. (more…)

When you’re editing an image to remove stuff like age wrinkles, it’s just better all around if you work with an image that hasn’t been sharpened. Sharpening increases contrast along edges in an image — edges much like, well, wrinkles. This increase in contrast makes these features even more prominent — and therefore more difficult to excise. This is one of many reasons not to apply sharpening to your original image. (If you absolutely must sharpen an image, be sure to save an unsharpened version that you can use later for editing purposes if you have to make some adjustments.) .

I am quite upset on how this movie turned out to be. Don’t get me wrong, I am sure that the director & producer of the movie put their all into making this happen. I mean, it’s really nothing like the game…well some areas of the movie are but nothing close. The CGI in the movie were very realistic and the music…the music was really fantastic, but the storyline was aweful. I have no reason to recommend this movie, I guess I’ll stick to the game, yeah, the game, the only game that has scared the crap out of me! LOL!
I see no reason on why it’s the #1 movie in amaerica today. The ending sucked, let me just sat that..LOL!
If any of you have any comments on this movie please feel free to do so. I sure hated it, obviously. LOL!
If you like, leave a comment in the Grafix Lounge also, yeah, we’re commenting on the movie in GL also.
Hope I didn’t spoil anything for ya, LataZ!

Here is a very interesting tip from Layers Magazine on Adobe Indesign. I found it quite helpfull being a Quark User. I often find myself using Indesign just to have the ability and know how on using both.
Layers magazine Tip of the Day
Adobe InDesign CS2 Tip – Type Glitch?
You decide to change the color of a headline, so you select the type and click on a Swatch from the Swatches palette. You deselect the type and realize that you’ve added a Stroke to your lettering instead of a Fill. Hmm, how did that happen? Why did the Type tool Default to Stroke? It just doesn’t make sense considering it’s so rare that you need to change or add a Stroke to type. Is this an InDesign bug? Nope! You actually caused the problem without realizing it. No matter what tool you’re using, if you activate the Stroke icon in one of your palettes, it stays activated until you activate Fill. Switching to your Type tool does not automatically switch to Fill in your palettes. So what seems like a totally random Stroke activation is not random at all. It’s just the way InDesign is designed to work.
